TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COOL IT DOWN FOR THE SUMMER
PROMOTION
The promotion will be conducted over the period June 21, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
This promotion shall consider loans in the featured category of Unsecured loans, inclusive of
Solar Energy Bundle loans and house deposits loans disbursed within the promotional period
June 21, 2024 to September 30, 2024. These participants will be eligible for entry in the
grand draw for this promotion.
The Promotion will be opened to all eligible COK Sodality members island-wide.
Non-members may fulfill conditions for membership and apply for COK Home Loans, Solar
loans and Unsecured loans under existing COK Sodality assessment terms, and qualify for
entry into the promotion, once the loan has been disbursed during the promotional period
June 21, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
The promotion will be open to all qualified/eligible COK Sodality members island-wide.
No entry fee or entry application is required. Entrants will be taken from the stipulated featured
loan database during the promotional period.
There will be no monthly draws for this promotion.
HOW TO ENTER
Members should meet all qualifying conditions for the loan and submit loan application with
all required documents. Once the loan has been disbursed, then the participant will receive
an automatic entry in this promotion.
PRIZES:
● Prizes to be won at the end of the promotion are:
▪ Grand Draw:
▪ 1st prize: One (1) Windy 12000-BTU Inverter Air Condition unit, valued at
$66,000, to be purchased by COK Sodality from Singer Jamaica Limited.
▪ 2nd prize: An all-inclusive vacation weekend (3 days, 2 nights) for two at
SeaGarden Beach Resort valued at $89,500 per night; valid for one year. The
following are the blackout dates where reservations cannot be made:
▪ July 14 – 21, 2024
▪ July 28-August 7, 2024
▪ October 18-21, 2024
▪ December 15, 2024 – January 31, 2025
▪ Kindly note that taxes or fees are covered by SeaGarden, therefore COK Sodality or
the 2nd place winner will not be responsible for this cost.
▪ 3rd prize: (1) Share Certificate valued at $15,000 that is valid for six months from
the issued date, for one member redeemable at any of the following COK Sodality
branches:

Photographs and videos of presentation of prizes will be taken for promotional purposes.
SELECTION OF WINNERS
All qualified applicants to whom loans were disbursed during the promotional period
June 21, 2024 to September 30, 2024 will be entered into the grand draw.
The grand draw will take place on the 5
th working day of the following month at the end
of the promotional period between 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at COK Sodality’s Head Office,
66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5, on October 07, 2024.
A member may only have one entry, irrespective of the number of qualified loans disbursed
during this promotion.
Winners will be contacted via telephone, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., at
the contact number on record, no later than three working days after the draw has taken
place.
A maximum of three calls will be made to each winner each day, for a maximum three
consecutive working days. A message will be placed on the last attempt and the member
given five working days to contact COK regarding the promotion. Failure to contact COK
within the specified period will result in the member forfeiting the prize and the
corresponding back up member contacted using a similar process with the aim of awarding
that individual the prize once the member satisfies all associated rules of the competition.
Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the notification of winners. Failure to claim prize
within the time specified will result in the prize being retained by COK Sodality.
Winners are asked to present a valid government of Jamaica issued identification to claim
prizes. Valid identification considered are National/voter’s ID, Driver’s License and
Passport. Prizes are to be collected at COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union’s Head
Office, 66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5.
OTHER RULES OF THE PROMOTION
Members must be of qualified age under COK Sodality existing assessment terms.
Participants will only have one entry despite having more than one loans disbursed
during the promotional period-June 21, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
For the grand prize, all the members must remain in good standing with the Credit Union.
Winners should agree to allow use of their names, photographs and videos for the Credit
Union’s publicity purposes, at no cost. Failing this, they forfeit their prize.
Employees, contractors, volunteers and contracted workers of COK Sodality Cooperative
Credit Union, all advertising and media partners and their immediate family members
(spouses/children/siblings) are not eligible to enter.
If a member is unable to accept prize, same will be retained by COK Sodality.
In the case where a member who is initially drawn as a winner is found not in good standing
with the Credit Union (COK Sodality), that entry will be automatically disqualified from
the competition and the prize awarded to the back-up entrant once the associated member
is in good standing with the Credit Union and has met the criteria of this promotion.
If the associated back-up entrant(s) also deemed not in good standing with the
Credit Union, the prize will be retained by the Credit Union.
A member in good standing with COK Sodality is defined as the member being
Permanent Share and KYM compliant and has no delinquent loan with the Credit
Union.
Winners will be required to sign a release granting COK Sodality permission to use
their names, image, video clips as well as testimonials for the Credit Union’s public
relations, at no cost. Failing this, the prize will not be awarded and the associated back
up entrant will be awarded the prize. Should the associated back up entrant also decline
the aforementioned request, the prize will be retained by the Credit Union.
Employees, contractors, volunteers and contracted workers of COK Sodality Cooperative
Credit Union, SeaGarden Beach Resort, Singer Jamaica, all advertising and media partners
and their immediate family members (spouses/children/siblings) are not eligible to enter this
promotion.
Once received and where possible, prizes are transferable.
Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash with the exception of the third place prize of a
COK Sodality Share Certificate valued at $15,000 redeemable at any of the Credit
Union’s branches. This Share Certificate is only valid for six months from the issued
date and can be en-cashed at any COK Sodality branches.
Participants are able to gain automatic entry in the promotion by acquiring any featured
loan of this promotion at any COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union branch locations
listed below:
