TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR REACTIVATE AND SAVE COMPETITION PROMOTION

 

• The promotion will be conducted the period June 21, 2024 to November 29, 2024.
• This Promotion will feature non-compliant Permanent Share and Know Your Customer (KYC) members and members whose accounts are classified as Dormant (no member-initiated activity on the account for twelve months or more) or Inactive (no member-initiated activity on the account for six months or more).
• Under the promotion, Inactive or Dormant account holders who are 18 years and older will be allowed to reactive their COK account and participate in one of two savings plans-Partner Plan or Golden Harvest.
• The newly-activated account holder will be required to remain in good standing with the Credit Union (COK Sodality) and maintain the associated savings plan during the promotional period (June 21, 2024 to November 29, 2024).
• During the promotional period, the now compliant member will be required to start honoring all required financial obligations, including fees, with the Credit Union
• The accumulated outstanding fee on these members’ account will be immediately waived once the account is in compliance and the member has initiated at least one of the two stipulated savings plans- Partner Plan or Golden Harvest.
• Existing members whose accounts are classified as Dormant or Inactive but are already Permanent Share and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliant are only required to initiate at least one of the two stipulated savings plans.
• Members are not prevented from initiating several of the stipulated savings’ plans. However, each member will receive only one automatic entry i.e., the member’s name will be entered only once.
• Should members fail to honor the terms of the savings plans or fail to remain in good standing with the Credit Union, the associated entries will be disqualified.
• Monies saved in the stipulated savings account will remain until the end of the promotional period.
• In accordance with the rules of COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union, monies deposited to Permanent Shares represents the stake in which members have in the Credit Union. The
  aforementioned Permanent Shares will therefore not be available to the member unless the member decides to close the associated account.
• The promotion will be open to all qualified/eligible COK Sodality members island-wide.
• No entry fee or entry application is required. Entrants will be taken from the Permanent Share database, which includes KYC compliant members who initiated at least one of the stipulated savings plans during the promotional period.

 

       How to Enter

• Members who bring their Permanent Shares account to a minimum of $2,000.00, update their KYM records and initiate at least one of two stipulated savings plans (Golden Harvest/Partner Plan) will receive automatic entries in the promotion.
• Permanent Share and KYM compliant members should initiate one of the two stipulated savings plans (Golden Harvest/Partner Plan).
• Members should honor the savings plans initiated and their accounts remain in good standing during the promotional period- June 21, 2024 to November 29, 2024.
• The promotion will only consider qualified members as at 12:01a.m., June 21, 2024 through to 11:59 p.m. November 29, 2024.
• The members’ information will be stored in a database from which the qualified entrants will be noted.
• The presentation of prizes will be captured and the images will be used for promotional purposes.

• •  Five (5) Ten Thousand Dollars COK Share Certificates that are to be lodged to the member’s savings plan of choice, five (5) COK-branded tokens valued at $5,000.00 each

              Grand Prize:

• • One (1) Samsung Galaxy S23 phone valued at $130,000.00.

Photographs and videos of presentation of prizes will be taken.

 

    Selection of Winners

• The record of the members who are Permanent Share and KYM compliant and who have initiated and maintained the stipulated savings plan will be entered for the draw.
• A member may win only once, irrespective of the number of entries. NB! Once a member’s name is drawn, the person is declared a winner of one of the prizes, all other draws containing the member’s information will be disqualified except in the grand draw.
• The monthly draws will take place between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm at COK Sodality’s office, 66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5 on the 6th working day following the end of each month, beginning July 08, 2024. Please see the table below as reference.

• The above-mentioned draw dates may be subject to change due any extenuating circumstances.

 

Grand Draw:

The grand draw will take place between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at COK Sodality’s office, 66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5, on December 06, 2024.

• • Winners will be contacted via telephone, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., at the contact number on record, no later than three working days after the draw has taken
    place.
  • A maximum of three calls will be made to each winner each day, for a maximum three consecutive working days. A message will be placed on the last attempt and the member
    given five working days to contact COK regarding the promotion. Failure to contact COK within the specified period will result in the member forfeiting the prize and the
    corresponding back up member contacted using a similar process with the aim of awarding that individual the prize once the member satisfies all associated rules of the competition.
  • Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the notification of winners. Failure to claim prize within the time specified will result in the prize being retained by COK Sodality.
  • Winners are asked to present a valid government of Jamaica issued identification to claim prizes. Valid identification considered are National/voter’s ID, Driver’s License and
    Passport. Prizes are to be collected at COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union’s Head Office, 66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5.

OTHER RULES OF THE PROMOTION

• Members must be 18 years or older to participate.
• Participants will only have one entry despite having more than one COK Partner Plans or Golden Harvest purchased.
• For the monthly and grand prize, all the members must remain in good standing with the Credit Union.
• Winners must agree to allow use of their names, photographs and videos for the Credit Union’s publicity purposes, at no cost. Failing this, they forfeit their prize.
• Employees, contractors, volunteers and contracted workers of COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union, all advertising and media partners and their immediate family members
  (spouses/children/siblings) are not eligible to enter.
• If a member is unable to accept prize, same will be retained by COK Sodality.
• In the case where a member who is initially drawn as a winner is found not in good standing with the Credit Union (COK Sodality), that entry will be automatically disqualified from
  the competition and the prize awarded to the back-up entrant once the associated member is in good standing with the Credit Union and has met the criteria of this promotion.
  • If the associated back-up entrant(s) also deemed not in good standing with the Credit Union, the prize will be retained by the Credit Union.
  • A member in good standing with COK Sodality is defined as the member being Permanent Share and KYM compliant and has no delinquent loan with the Credit Union.
• Winners will be required to sign a release granting COK Sodality permission to use their names, image, video clips as well as testimonials for the Credit Union’s public
  relations, at no cost. Failing this, the prize will not be awarded and the associated back up entrant will be awarded the prize. Should the associated back up entrant also decline
  the aforementioned request, the prize will be retained by the Credit Union.
• Once the COK Share Certificate is received by the winner, it is valid for six months from the issued date and it must be lodged to their savings plan (Golden Harvest or
  Partner Plan) chosen by the member.
• Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
• Participants are able to gain automatic entry in the promotion by activating a 10Weeks Pardna Plan at any COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union branch locations listed
  below:
