TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR I’M AN ADULT NOW PROMOTION
- The promotion will be conducted over the period July 31, 2024 to November 29, 2024.
- Under the promotion, all COK S.H.I.E.L.D. account holders (youth savers) who have attained the age of eighteen years before or during the promotional period but have not yet transitioned to attaining membership status will be considered eligible to participate in the competition. These account holders must be Permanent Share and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliant and are in good standing with the Credit Union.
- To qualify, S.H.I.E.L.D. account holders who are 18 years and older are required to become members of COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union.
- A member is entitled to only one entry
- Should members decide to terminate their membership during the promotional period, the associated entries will be disqualified.
- In accordance with the rules of COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union, monies deposited to Permanent Shares represents the stake in which members have in the Credit Union. Permanent Shares will therefore not be available to the member unless the member decides to close the associated account.
- The newly-transitioned members who would have then met the adult membership requirements during the promotional period will be automatically entered with a chance to win the monthly prize of $10,000 (COK Share Certificate, that are valid for six months starting from the issue date) and/or the grand prize of an iPhone 14 Pro Max valued at $195,000 inclusive of GCT.
HOW TO ENTER
- During the promotional period, S.H.I.E.L.D. account holders update their records in accordance with the membership requirements.
- The newly transitional members’ information will include; name, address, date of birth, telephone number, email address and Permanent Share balance. This will be stored in a database from which the entrants will be noted.
- NB! The competition will only consider S.H.I.E.L.D. account holders who would have transitioned to and met the qualification for adult membership as at 12:01 a.m., July 31, 2024 through to 11:59 p.m. November 29, 2024.
- A member is entitled to one entry.
- Should members decide to terminate their membership during the promotional period, the associated entries will be disqualified.
PRIZES
Monthly prize:
- Four (4) COK Share Certificates valued at $10,000.00 each, which are valid for six months from the issue date and can be encashed at any of the COK Sodality branches listed below:
- 66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5
- Units 9 & 10, Winchester Business Center, 15 Hope Road, Kingston 10 (until permanent closure of the branch on August 19, 2024)
- Units 4, 6 & 8, Caledonia Mall, 3½ Caledonia Road, Mandeville, Manchester

Grand prize:

Photographs and videos of presentation of prizes will be taken.
SELECTION OF WINNERS
- The records of the qualified members for each month will be entered for the respective monthly draws.
- There will be only one monthly winner. A member may win only once. Once the person is declared a winner of a monthly prize, all other draws containing the member’s information will be disqualified, except in the grand draw.
- Monthly prize draws will take place at COK Sodality’s office, 66 Slipe Road between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. as per the following table:

The above-mentioned draw dates may be subject to change due to any extenuating circumstances with consultation and approval by the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission.
Grand Draw:
- The grand draw will take place between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm at COK Sodality’s office, 66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5, on December 06, 2024.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
- Winners will be contacted via telephone, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, at the contact number on record, no later than three working days after the draw has taken place.
- A maximum of nine (9) calls will be made to each winner, for a maximum of three consecutive working days. A message will be placed on the last attempt and the member will be given five working days to contact COK Sodality to claim their prize. Failure to contact COK Sodality within the specified period will result in the member forfeiting the prize and the corresponding back up member contacted using a similar process with the aim of awarding that individual the prize, once the member satisfies all associated rules of the competition.
- Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the notification to the Failure to claim prize within the time specified will result in the prize being retained by COK Sodality.
- Winners are asked to present a valid government of Jamaica issued identification to claim prizes. Valid identification considered are National/voter’s ID, Driver’s License and Passport. Prizes are to be collected at COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union’s Head Office, 66 Slipe Road, Kingston 5 or at a mutually agreed COK Sodality branch listed below:

OTHER RULES OF THE PROMOTION
- Qualified account holders may upgrade/transition at any time during the promotional
- Members must be Permanent Share & Know Your Member (KYM)
- Deposits made to the Permanent Share Account cannot be withdrawn unless the associated member’s account is closed and thus the associated individual would no longer be considered a member, under the rules of the Credit Union. If a member closes their COK Sodality member account, subsequently, the individual will not be eligible to participate in this promotion.
- All participating members must remain in good standing with the Credit Union to be eligible for the draw.
- If a member is unable to accept prize, same will be retained by COK
- In the case where a member who is initially drawn as a winner is not in good standing with the Credit Union (COK Sodality), that entry will be automatically disqualified from the competition and the prize awarded to the back-up entrant once the associated member is in good standing with the Credit Union.
- If the associated back-up entrant also deemed not in good standing with the Credit Union, the prize will be retained by the Credit Union.
- A member in good standing with COK Sodality is defined as the member being Permanent Share compliant, Know Your Member compliant and has no delinquent loan with the Credit Union.
- Winners must sign a release granting COK Sodality permission to use their names, image, video clips as well as testimonials for the Credit Union’s public relations, at no cost. Failing this, the prize will not be awarded and the associated back up entrant will be awarded the prize. Should the associated back up entrant also decline the aforementioned request, the prize will be retained by the Credit Union.
- Employees, contractors, volunteers and contracted workers of COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union, advertising and media partners and their immediate family members (spouses, children, siblings) are not eligible to enter.
