In the interest of the health and safety of their staff and members, COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union is announcing the temporary closure of their Head Office and Cross Roads Branch located at 66, Slipe Road Kingston as well as their Ocho Rios Micro Business Branch located at Shop 7, 19 Main Street, Ocho Rios St. Ann. This measure was taken out of an abundance of caution, and in an effort to protect their Team and Members.
“We have decided to close our 66 Slipe Road Branch and by extension our Head Office as well as our Micro Business Office in Ocho Rios to facilitate deep cleaning and additional sanitization following the illness of one of our Team Members. Our Team member, their personal physician and COK are following all of the established protocols and directives issued by the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health has been contacted and the relevant actions are in place including mandatory quarantine should it become necessary.” said COK CEO Aloun N’Dombet Assamba.
All team members from the affected locations have been advised to work from home until Monday May 4, 2020 and await further instructions based on directives received from the Ministry of Health.
The COK CEO advised that the Credit Union remains vigilant and has established protocols which are followed in case such incidents should occur and that team members are aware of these protocols. “Our disaster risk management committee meets weekly or as needed to assess, adjust and create additional protocols that fall in-line with the directives issued by the Ministry of Health.” She added.
“Our team and members are our priority and we do our best to ensure their safety so we can continue to provide high quality service in this period of uncertainty. Finally, I would like to encourage members to contact us from the safety and convenience of your homes or offices; electronically via SMS or WhatsApp at 876-578-0057, call our contact center at 876-960-4226, send us an email at [email protected] or visit our website www.cokcu.com and apply for loans, membership or do online banking transactions.
